Hometowns and leaving the Mud School

So, say I am a new player. I chose Ogre, because Ogres sound cool. I see Marak is the hometown for Ogres. Well, I wanna be with my own kind. So I pick Marak. I killing things in Mud School, really tearing it up. I am pwning plasms and bludgeoning bandits.

Oops, I ranked out of Mud School. So now, I'm level 6 sitting at the Marak pit.

It's 834761235791275696 moves to get from Marak to Maelbrim as a level 6.

As a new player, I don't know that. Nor do I know where to go. So I quit, and never come back.

Perhaps a way to go to Maelbrim from Marak. It only works under 15. "You are too experienced to do that!"

You could do it with all the far hometowns. Close ones you might be able to wander to.

I think a warning would be acceptable too, either in addition or instead..   This hometown is for experienced players and is very far away from the main cities.  Something like that.   I agree its a problem.

I can't count the times I've been asked how to get away from these high level hometown areas to typical hunting grounds.   Maybe something else that can be done is SUGGESTING that if you are new you should pick Val Miran, Maelbrim or Miruvhor if you are new starting out.

I like this suggestion.  Gate to Maelbrim from Marak for under 15s.  And a suggestion for new players to choose Maelbrim as their starter town.
