Wiki

I'm not sure how many of you use my Wiki, but I know a good few of you do. I just need some suggestions as far as templates and whats easy on all of your guy's eyes.

For now it's black, but I intend to make it more medieval looking (ie, browns, reds, etc) and hopefully integrate it into a good looking 'you gotta play this mud' website.

Eventually when I have the money to pay for my own hosting, it'll be removed from quarterhazel.com and put back onto forsakenlands.net. I definitely wouldn't mind minor donations either if anyone's interested in helping me keep it hosted and available to everyone.

Thanks for any suggestions in advance!

I would suggest the top menu at the intro screen be red and moved to the left side if possible. Just me though.

Other than that, I think I spend as much time on the wiki as in the game anymore. So much information to process.

Done.

Edit: Oh, the intro screen. Thinking of re-doing that later.. not sure what to yet.

Any more suggestions, players?

Why not follow the color scheme I have laid out for the website?

What website?

forsakenlands.theater-efx.us/

That was the 1.0 version. Layout has changed some and more stuff has been removed/added.

However the color scheme and overall feel have remained the same.

EDIT: I do find it hard to believe you didn't know about it considering you replied in a thread about it.

I was joking with you. I don't think making the scheme to that particular color and using those gifs would be something I -want- to do. I really don't think it'll be all that fluid.

I'm more looking for ideas and suggestions to add more to the wiki. If you want, I could collaborate with you regarding some intricacies between the two of our websites, and hopefully make both fluid to each other - but thus far, the Immortals wanted my Wiki run separate from their official stuff, so..

Long story short, I think my scheme is far more simple and far more pretty. It also calls in traffic using the wonderful Wordpress SEO.

simple is fine for a wiki

wonderful - WordPress has it's place.... for those who know how to use it to it's fullest. Otherwise it is simply a word to throw around.

none the less, was simply a suggestion. Over time it would simply be two places for the same information anyhow, so I do suppose having them look different is a plus.

The wiki... is... soooo... AMAZING!

I would not know how or where to gear without it. Also the different class skill lists are immensely helpful too.

Keep up the awesome work! Just one thing. I know it's a work in progress. I noticed not all items are in the item database. Sometimes I search for stuff and can't find it in the wiki. Also, when I search for weapons, it doesn't show the average damage.

All in all, invaluable and super helpful site.

Lol yeah i pretty much have this open when IMud
