Was thinking about something. Why are battlemages allowed to dance weapons that they don't know how to use? Wouldn't it be better for rare circulation if they didn't take up those very rare axes and polearms that so many other classes need? Bmgs just need the weight anyway don't they? That can come in other forms. Just a thought.
Dancing Weapon Selection
I agree, though I can't even remember the last time I saw a BMG...
No battlemages??? Oh goodie, time to make another feral ranger warmaster:-P

Interesting idea, but I like seeing a battlemage with a nasty polearm aimed at your head.
polearms are a super in demand weapon type. Maybe we should crank out a new one?
Polearms are for little girls. Be manly. Get a two-handed spear.
Considering at least one class fighting over polearms can't use spears... Be manly, use a decent weapon class?
Swords are cool. They don't get used enough. So are exotics. ![]()
I wish the spell were more complicated to include more than just the weight...a lot of room for expansion here
Given all the gimps BMGs have received over the past few years...it would be nice to see BMGs be able to dance ANY weapon such that the BMG could exploit opponents' knowledge of weapons. Maybe there could be a few different random effects from different weapon types as well.
Fighting a ranger? Eldritch mace. Instead of a random trip, maybe it does a random bash-type thing.
Fighting a paladin and don't have an axe? Dance a dagger! Instead of trip/bash...random hasted rounds without the cumulative damage loss that currently happens.
Etc, etc. Dammit, this makes me want to roll another BMG ![]()
Dance a dagger??? Oh my, I can see it now... The special attack could be Your Dagger snips your opponents pants, which fall to their ankles and trip them...
All kinds of interesting possibilities for sure...
If you are wearing pants, a smart BMG would introduce the dagger on the bottom of your pants and exit it in throat.
Battlemages are fine as they are. I do not need Maces on my BMGs, although it would provice an interesting new options like the Solar Mace, Icebite, the elven smasher, smoking flail. Some of them even better than the current Pole/Axes.
