Rare crumble only on PK deaths

What do you think?

+1

better yet make it only crumble when you die within the logout time of being in a PK fight. IE...teleports during PK that get you killed make you lose EQ because thats also considered a PK loss to me.

Or.. we should lose everything when we log out. I like that idea.

I've been watching the rare crumble thing carefully, and as much as I hated it at first, and as MUCH as it truly begrudges me to say it, it's a good thing.

Sure, you lose two rares, if you have a bunch, sucks, but then...you go get new eq, because it's actually there now.

I was talking to the_nameless and he mentioned he got full looted, and how it sucked, but he was decked again a few hours later.

this change is a good thing. EQ shouldn't be the lifeblood of the game, and this is one way to fix that, I think.

Don't die. Don't carry so many rares. Get new stuff. Ask for help. Buy Merchant gear. Lots of ways to compensate, even for a crappy player like me, I'm sure you can come up with something.

That is true. It IS improving rare circulation. I was fully sacced down to nothing, and I was able to get decked again in a rather short amount of time without having to strip some poor bastard in a pk.

I still don't like it. If my rare piece from gear or somewhere else crumbles... there's NOTHING I can do about it unless a pack of vets is gonna walk me through it and not demand every single piece worth anything... which happens all of...whatever is less than never.

You can PK someone to get it back

And have it crumble?

I dont think the solution to a gear problem should resort to "Just go pk for it".

I hate pking for gear honestly. If I kill someone who has some things i like, I might take 1-2 of them, but I dont think I have gone after someone for the sole purpose of gear in YEARS (6-7 at least). There are better reasons to PK someone.
