Clerics get their bash protection early because they need it early. Paladins don't need it early quite as badly, since they have superior melee capabilities.

Blademasters get double grip at 10, warriors get it at 40. Clearly, warriors are being screwed by this.
And your idea of giving paladins flails has been rejected time and again, so why you bring it up I do not know.
cause its kick + flail.
You can argue on flail, but paladins not having kick is .... wrong.
Even my BMG has kick, as my Clerics and dk's , bard, thief, ninja, and Shaman.
Only paladins, Healers, Necros and invokers not have them.
BLM have chop/onslaught that is even better.

Why would a paladin have kick... from an RP stand point... its a damn bad idea to take a foot out of the stirrups to kick someone when you have one hand on a lance and the other on the reins of a ton and a half armored warhorse... Guaranteed to go *** over tea kettle if you try it on impact.

You're right. I must suck horribly with paladins.
It'd be really cool if each class had their own lores.
just cause you dont use kick it does not means that other players have no use for it.

Why don't we just give paladin's kick lol. That would end the age old debate.
...you know that those gnomes are vulnerable to the kind of damage that kick does, right? That not a single player race is?
And I didn't say that kick is useless, just that it's useless for a paladin.
