Rather than re-writing all of the essays, maybe the comments section could be opened up so players experienced with each class can add their advice?

I prefer an essay written by someone who is well know to be good with the class.
Like a DKN essay from Hit&Run.
A necro essay from Mindflayer.
A cleric Essay from Kyz.
A shaman essay from Twin.
A thief/ninja essay from Reccum.
A monk essay from Khaede.
And so on...
Some of those Essays are now outdated and contain erroneous information.
Perhaps new essays could be appendix to those.

Yes
Playing a class as one race is often not the same as playing it with another. That's what would be good about opening the comments section. Players can post advice about strategies with specific races for that class.
