Watcher ideas

I spoke about this with a very good friend of mine and we had concluded this.

Sigil is meant to fight Pandemonium. Praetorian meant to fight Reaver. Barbarian meant for Mysterium. and Gladiator vs Temporum.

Now, when in terms of Watcher. Stalker is meant to fight undead/demon/avatars and anything closely related as "unnatural", leaving Warder by itself with the only cabal skills actually dedicated to fighting Tribunal.

My thoughts here are to make Warder vs Council and change Stalker to combat whatever the other Tribunal sub-cabal is (forgot the name). Perhaps what Stalker is now could be converted to its own cabal. Wouldn't be too hard to code other than adding a new cabal and transferring the Stalker skills over.

Thoughts? Criticism? Let's begin.

you mean like syndicate??

I don't know where you are getting all this sigil vs pandy info, but it's not true.

There is no such thing as sub-cabal made to fight another sub-cabal.

Yea, from the help files, I think Reaver/Praetorian are your frontline soldiers, and Pandy/Sigil are Remfs.

the sub cabals and rp are designed to better fit the classes allowed into them, doesn't necessarily mean they are meant to combat each other the way you spelled it out. I see where you are both coming from but watchers from an RP standpoint defend nature, one sub cabal is concerned with the cities, once is concerned with un-natural things. The sub cabals are geared toward the cabal itself not necessarily geared toward other sub cabals.

Warders are meant to take on and lead the fight against the city, hunters fight any that fit into the criteria of being abominations against nature (or those that facilitate those ends) and the Tribunal, since they are in direct contrast with the ideas of Nature. Personally, I have never seen the old skills/spells selection for this cabal, but I think the current is pretty relevant and on par with other cabals.

Well I actually see something here. I've always liked the idea of a separate cabal that is solely dedicated to taking out qraces/qclasses. I.E. Vampire hunters and Demon slayers. I for one as a player usually have had beef with most qraces/qclasses (vampire, demon dk, psi path) and I despise them. Separating Stalker from Watcher and their war against Tribunal entirely, seems like a good idea. I never quite saw the comparison in roleplay of crusading against the unnatural & simultaneously having beef with Tribunal. The rp's that have arisen from this forced helpfile and coding don't seem to flow well. Adding in another Watcher subcabal to directly challenge one of the Tribunals subcabals could and probably should be done as well as more tweaking with the Watcher cabal as a whole. As I've always seen Tribunal as perhaps the strongest cabal in the game and Watcher not so much so but close.

The bigger target here is protecting nature, so whether you are fighting tribunals or hunting unnatural things you are doing your job.

Btw, psi's do not fall under the unnatural criteria.

I would think being that psi's manipulate the natural order of things, a Watcher COULD have an interesting RP point by playing that they're unnatural. Gotta use your imagination, f0xx.

But unnatural things are defined by the rules we have IG and psi's are not mentioned in them. I don't mind twisting RP, but I can twist my RP so I make paladins, clerics, BMGs, warriors and basicly every class look un-natural, then everyone is going to complain because this stalker is over aggressive.

plus a Psi can be a stalker. I think

Hehe, actually, you are correct

Never said psi's were unnatural I said I didn't like a certain path of them. My point was that it would make more sense to work on an rp angle solely regarding qclasses/qraces hunters and keep the Tribunal business separate. I used my disdain for certain qclasses/qraces as an example on how others can tailor their new-found Stalker rp. Some hate vampires more than demons. Some hate avatars and some just might plain ole hate psi's. Would the cabal need to hunt down psi's? Maybe not. Would I like to? Sure
