TRANSMUTE
Syntax: transmute <material>
        distill quicksilver

The great work makes gold from lead, and it raises ore, stone and lumber
by a tier. From rank 90, an alchemist who has studied it can transmute
with a black glass alembic over a hot fire. For a tier 6 material, you
need rank 95.

The work takes time, and if you leave the fire, you lose what you put in.
You cannot attune to anything that the great work makes, even after you cut
it or smelt it.
