I have an idea!
Everyone bitches at the tribunals being overpowered and making their own damn rules to save their own hide.
How about this...
Only have a certain number of tribunals whom can hunt outside the city limits. This tribunal would be the Excecutioner whom has the powers to roam outside the cities their guards to hunt down criminals/outlaws. These hunters have special tracking abilities and can have a guard at their side outside the cities. But they are subject to attack without an arrest, unless they be fighting a criminal outside the city, then a warrant could be given to the one whom jumps them.
Then you could have judicators whom would be responsible for investigating crimes in and outside city limits as well as handling complaints. They would have the power to want and remove warrants. They would not have guards outside city limits.
Now... all other tribunals have ONLY powers inside the city limits. Once they stepoutside the city limits they lose any power or abilities.
councilors have all the powers of the above. But the power of making laws should be limited to the cities they protect with very limited power for law making outside the cities.
This idea is mainly to balance the overpowered tribunals as they currently are.
you are wasting your time, might as well piss into the wind. Tribunal are not going to get toned.
Laws already only work in cities.
Tribunals already have a portion who concentrate only on outside the cities.
Tribunals are able to PK'd outside cities without wanting/arrest if not chasing a criminal. If you are wanted for this, send a note to Prax (as has been stated about a MILLION times).
Tribunal isn't overpowered. As stated by Behrens, it's working exactly as he expects it to. We're not going to go through that again.
I just find it really hilarious that everyone wants constraints on Tribunal that NO other cabal has. I vote we'll limit Tribunal powers to the cities if all OTHER cabals' powers only work in areas they own. Funny, the idea just doesn't seem as popular then.
As I said, this is about the 1000th time someone with no idea how Tribunal powers work has decided they are overpowered. Yet, you have posts from former Tribunals who have condied who say they aren't even close to overpowered. We aren't beating this horse any more.
How about a pinata horse? That way we can get candy! CANNNDDDYYY!!!
lol.... It's fun to beat horses.....
then, you have some internal bleeding. you have to use a polearm.
Hrm, I have a rib stabbing my lung, but I shall go on beating that horse!
With a polearm, that would be more like slashing the horse.
perhaps a really long club?
ok, a polearm with the blade crushed into a metal ball.

Chayesh i'm going to have to go ahead and disagree with you a little.
Tribunals already have a portion who concentrate only on outside the cities.
Yes, BUT both of them actively hunt criminals outside of town. I agree. I would like to see less Council hunting with active Adjudicators.

I've been wanted for this, but I took care of it in game. I'd like to know how the heck the mud decides when Obstruction has been comitted.

I have only ever said that I think a few abilities should be affected by eq, or have a shorter duration. Never really got a comment on that (That I know of, these threads get out of hand too quickly to read everything)

This is the comment that drove me to post this response. Tribunal has limits that no other cabal has. Why? Because they have the power that no other cabal has. They have the power to make every city guard attack you on sight, most of the time. That royally screws over necros, because their zombies hardly ever flee fast enough. City shops won't sell to you. Outlaw status, people can attack you but you cannot attack back. Thus if you lost your wanted flag, you regain it for defending yourself actively. Their laws apply to every PC, so more people to give them eq. What other cabal can do any of this? KNIGHT is a big kill me sign screaming to every evil. NEXUS is a big kill me sign for every goodie. TRIBUNAL is a kill me sign for anyone with the balls to do it, not many. Aside from one cabal leader, no one has the ability to do any of this and it still isn't half of what I just listed. So I think restrictions are in order. I would like to see less people getting outlawed. It makes sense RP wise, but not in practical use. At least allow them to remove outlaw status.
I'm not a player of any outlaws, in fact, I rarely make a chaotic char. I tend to follow the laws with my chars. I have only had one outlaw, ever. I have had a character in Justice once. I am not complaining from anything that happened in the MUD. These are just observations. I am not saying Trib is overpowered, just pointing out certain things. I'm also not even sure why i'm posting this, but I am. Its also 4:24 am here, so goodnight! lol
I dont think they're overpowered, so far I've been able to beat (although I have been beating by them as well) every Trib apart from Martineius, who's nailed me every time.
Seems to me that everyone is bitching because Martineius f***s you all up. I have not seen any bitching or complaining about on other Trib. He is a VAMPIRE, he is VERY skilled, and VERY good. He is GOING to win ALOT. Don't you get it yet? They can be beat, they can die, they are not overpowered. They are EXACTLY like Justice. In EVERY way, except one skill and two(I think) cabal items. Thats all. There has to be a way to beat them. Stop begging for a change and find that weakness, abuse the hell out of it, make Martin delete aswell as every other Tribunal and then all is good again, right?
Seems like what you all want is every character to be even. No one is no better than anyone else. You want it all fair, not going to happen. In every other game I've played the Law is kickass. I recently got Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion. I am a thief and the Lawmen kick my ***. Why? Because they are made to be exactly 10 levels above my char. If I am lvl6000 they are lvl6010 and they have numbers. Thats hard. Its life. Its the game. Thats how it is. GET USED TO IT OR LEAVE.
Seriously, start acting like a true FL player. Kick their ***, make them delete or quit or conkill them. This is why so many people want 1.0 back SO BAD. Because of the trash in game and out of game because you all can't kill one vampire. Act like you're supposed to and kick *** and take names. Don't be a pansy and bitch on the forums. Its not going to change crap. For those of you who might think I am a Tribunal, I am not. I fight against them alot of the times. I avoid Martineius for awhile, at the moment, he can kick the **** out of me and I know it. I need a few things to happen then I will fight him, I will get prepared, and fight his undead *** in the sun.

Man the guards in Oblivion are sisseys.
I still think Tribunal should be given armies, and their skillls only work inside areas they own.
Why would they be able to use the e-skill in an area someone ELSE'S army occupies? It doesn't make sense.
They are an empire.
Empires have armies.

Heh.
Holy weapon.
Edged certain weapon which creates certain vuln?

Daytime?

I'm not quite ballsy enough to try it. But I bet it canbe done. By a nonvamp I mean.
I do think it'd be kind of cool or fitting as an empire if they got armies... but no tonedowns.
And they'd only use them in certain areas (cities towns outposts etc.)
Ah, Why should Tribunal have restrictions no other cabal has?
No other cabal can attack and execute fellow lightwalkers, or people below their own pk range.
No other cabal has such a very strong guard.
No other cabal can find you and keep you where they want you amazingly easy.
No other cabal is guaranteed first hit whenever they fight those they mark.
No other cabal is allowed to do things which would be considered trash if done by other cabals.
No other cabal can make their cabal mates REQUIRED to hunt their opponent if they fail.
No other cabal is basically protected from rogue classes if they're smart.
EDIT: Oh, and no other cabal can use their skills to be guaranteed a chance to run away, stopping their opponent from following.
My suggestion would be this.
Change council members guards. Adjucators are the criminal hunters, not council members. Who sees Tony Blair out stopping robberies or President Bush on the front-line?
Even the most assertive kings didn't hunt down people unless they were, very, very big fish.
Give them armies. E-skill and maybe some others only work in an area controlled by Trib.
