nice Toten, never played a vamp- may have just inspired me to try one though.

Seium...yeah....that was some junk.
Seium was the last elder vamp till today.
Please do not go further into qclass details.
Thanks Toten for assuming that the current staff cheats and treats Imm's chars with preference ![]()
(In fact, Imm's morts usually take LONGER to get promoted / titled etc than non-Imm played chars. Keep in mind that staff is usually recruited from good players, be it rp or pk or both. I've waited 3 months at V at 50 once with one of my morts to get to T
Mmmm, actually that happened twice now already.)
I'm actually not opposed to Immortals playing Morts at all. There shouldn't be any 'conspiracy' theory either. You guys spend hours and hours and hours building/coding/policing, and you definitely should have the pleasure of playing a mortal without any "haters" claiming you boosted your char, etc.
I'm pretty sure the fella playing Seium isn't an IMM here anymore and that's the only one he implied anything about. And I'd join his bandwagon that something was definitely wrong there.

I wasn't insinuating this at all Anume. This had been covered over about 10 years ago when Seium existed. I am pretty sure Seium was Virigoth to the best of my knowledge. I am sure he may have eldered his vamp from the get go and probably just set all his skills at max as well. If you search through ancient forums, you'll find that I didn't disagree with this. If he found no enjoyment in training skills (who does) why not. He spends hundreds of hours on coding for the mud, this reduces his playing times. Elder vamp is a valid game mechanic (probably coded in by Viri, for Viri
) so there wasn't anything outright cheating that others couldn't accomplish going on.
Sorry if you feel that way but that wasn't what I meant. If Seium was the last elder vamp, then I don't know any that weren't IMPs. I know during the time of Amediarn and Cariousus (and there were 1 or two other vamps around) there was a bit of a plot going on to crown an elder vamp I am pretty sure. I know we were all killing eachother for SOME reason.
When I played Philantees I am pretty sure I had a hunch on a few imm played morts and there was nothing unusual about any of them.
Sorry if I insulted.
None of the current staff will bypass ranking or training, nor is there any code that gives any Imm's mort an advantage.

I do not doubt this. No need to preach to me and I have not heard of anyone who believes otherwise to this.
I believe you are all very fair and genuine people.
back to the point baout haveing more qraces, maybe just open the limits? dunno. ![]()
Is it impossible to get Elder Vamp then? Or just no one knows how? Or is it something specific to the qrace that we can't talk about? I don't get it.
I'm sure with concise, good RP, and of course constant PK, Elder Vampire could definitely be within your grasp.
I can't really think of many "vampires" (Philantees was a Shade or Siren or something, right?) that actually stuck with the vampire lore.

A banshee iirc. If that's a reason not to get it though, it's a poor one.
While a banshee might be vampiric, they're definitely not vampires by vampiric lore. I'll also let Immortals answer questions like this from here on out since my answers are pretty bias because of my interactions with said vampires.
I had never planned of getting eldered with Philantees at creation, thus, I didn't really plan toward it, however, when you've played 700+ hrs on a character you always want to look for just a bit more to keep it interesting.
Being a banshee wasn't THE reason I know of for not even being a consideration
Valadar unveiled himself with the world event at the time. I did rp the in game vampire lore, and hiearchy with everyone I interacted with. Especially other undead, voluntarily afflicted or not.
I recall a lot of rp with a particular herald during Valadar's life. During that time though, there were several other undead. I recall when we all got globally buffed for the event, ![]()
Truthfully i see her being a banshee as a perfectly valid reason for not being
elder vamp. Philly was not a vamp. Pretty clear cut to me. I realized it was an rp enhancing choice, the fact is it boils down to basic s. Sucks because phillips was great
Sirican, Cariousus, Martineius and Messalantha did not get elder vamp either.
I'm pretty certain Cariousus did actually? I won't say how I know but it has a lot to do with that Herald/elf he always hung out with and what he was able to do to her.
Mess in all the time I was here played the scariest vamp I know that played as a traditional vamp. Marty was more on the white wolf "Toreador".
If Mess didnt get it, not sure who else would have. Just imho. ![]()
I don't think Cariousus did get elder. Messa might have, had she met the requirements (which she hadn't).
