The Guardian's War

The Guardian's War was one of the longest conflicts in Aabahranian history. It lasted nearly two centuries. The Guardians, a faction that challenged the Tribunal's authority, seized control of Val Miran. Large mobs gathered in the streets to protest the new governing body. Some declared they would take up arms. Yet the White Wolf Banner continued to fly, and Guardian patrols did their best to keep the peace.

The Siege Engine

During this period, a gigantic siege engine appeared on a hill in Banor Forest, overlooking the Great Chasm and Val Miran. Forged from starstone, its destructive power was unknown. Leaders of the world's factions were baffled by its purpose. Then it vanished, reduced to rubble as quickly as it had appeared. Whether it served its purpose remains a mystery.

King Sylf and the End of the War

An accord was finally reached between King Sylf and Emperor Arexarlis. The sun flew brilliantly over Val Miran as trumpet blasts filled the air and an audience of thousands gathered for Baron Sylf's coronation. Even enemies of the Empire attended. King Sylf took the throne alongside his wife, Queen Dilorry, and began rebuilding Val Miran. He provided food and shelter to the citizens who had lost everything.

Yet as peace returned to the west, shadow formed over the east. Tensions rose between the Savant Tower and the Nexus Fortress. The reprieve from war was short lived.
