BLACKSMITHING

Smiths take ore and melt it down into ingots, and out of those ingots they
make weapons, armor, and the tools that the other trades need. It takes three
pieces of the same ore to make a single ingot, and the quality of the ore
decides the quality of the bar you get out of it, so three poor pieces won't
make you a good ingot no matter how good a smith you are.

A smith can also take a weapon they forged, put it back in the fire and
remake it in a different metal. At rank 75 they can put their own name on a
masterwork weapon, and once that is done no other weapon in Aabahran can ever
be given that name.
