Rainbows.
For Atmosphere
After the weather gets to a certain severity add a rainbow to the world. At the end of the rainbow is a Leprechaun mob.
Finding the rainbow: So long as it's daytime, once the weather severity has been reached have a world echo announce a rainbow can be seen. Then the 'look sky' command tells the player 'A rainbow can be seen to touching down to the [direction]' or 'A rainbow is touching down near by.'
The Leprechaun: Holding a pot of gold. Wearing some basic equipment with some +luck on it.
Finishing the event: Kill the Leprechaun, kick his wrinkled green ***. Get the gold, maybe make it a quest.

What if Syndicate members only (not just those bound by contract), could see who placed the bounty? That would make for interesting RP. (i.e. - A hunter doesn't want to work for someone he holds a grudge against I'm not sure if the anonymity of the bounty system is a virtue but then again, I post most of my ideas while heavily intoxicated and this is no exception.
