MINING 
Syntax: mine <vein>
        prospect <deposit>

Miners are able to work a vein in two different ways. They can break a vein
with a pick and get metal ore, which smiths melt into ingots, or crack a
deposit with a hammer and get raw gems, which jewelers cut. Apprenticing to
mining gives you both tools.

Bards learn a mining skill of their own and can work a vein without the
trade, but what they pull comes out ungraded.
